Lou Fabricant

Rehab Captain/Purchasing Officer

Lou Fabricant moved to Katy in 1977 and in 1978 he was voted onto the Cimarron Subdivision homeowners’ association. There, he helped form West-I 10 Volunteer Fire Department as a founding member.

 Lou became a Lifetime Member of West I-10 in 2000 and continued until July of 2015 when he transitioned to Harris County ESD 48. He held various ranks from Firefighter, Lieutenant, Captain, District Chief and Purchasing Officer. Lou served many terms on the Board of Directors during his 37 years as a member of the department. Lou completed all requirements to become an SFFMA advanced certified Firefighter with more than 6,000 hours of training.

 Lou became a founding member of Harris County ESD 48 in July 2015 and is currently the Rehab Coordinator, Purchasing Officer, and Knox Box liaison.

 In 2006, Lou married his wife, Rene, and between them have 10 grandchildren with the oldest graduating from the University of Arkansas, one graduating from Rider University, and one an incoming junior at Texas A&M in the fall.
