Russell Solomon was appointed to the Board of Commissioners for Harris County Emergency Services District 48 in 2017. Prior to becoming a commissioner, Russell served in the ESD 48 territory as a volunteer firefighter, driver operator, and Captain. He was Station 3 Firefighter of the Year in 2010 and received a Chief’s Award for Service in 2011.

Russell appreciates the opportunity to use the skills gained in the fire service to continue to serve the district as a commissioner. He enjoys riding his bicycle and spending time with his wife Amy and his two children.
